Pine pulling for Holton Lee…

Following on from ongoing charity initiatives, Keytek® Locksmiths, will be taking part in a volunteer day at Holton Lee located in Poole, Dorset on the Sunday 8th September.

Staff from our National Head Office alongside their families and friends will be taking part in several voluntary activities, these include ‘pine pulling’; a vital operation to stop young pine reverting to a plantation on the heathland at Holton Lee, in turn helping to conserve the natural landscape and environment of the estate.

Holton Lee is a 350 acre estate located in a secluded corner of Dorset, it was founded in 1992 as an initiative to address the need for accommodation that is suitable for those who are disabled, therefore the charity provides residents with the accessibility they need and enhances their general wellbeing including that of their carers, family and friends through it’s variety of facilities. Holton Lee aims to do this by providing better opportunities for it’s residents and visitors to flourish in the arts, horticulture and the environment. Facilities include picturesque gardens, artist studios and beautiful natural surroundings.
Our previous charity initiatives have included various cycle events; these include last year’s gruelling 80 mile Bath to Bournemouth cycle ride in aid of The British Heart Foundation. Following on from the success of this Keytek® 24 hour Locksmiths will be taking part in yet another charity cycle in aid of The British Heart Foundation, the ‘Glastonbury Bike Ride’ on the 29th September.
