Osbaldwick, York

This historical village had to make it onto our list as it has been a residential area since the 11th century. Located 2 miles east of the city it suits families and students alike as it is has several ‘Outstanding’ primary schools and is close to one of the universities campuses. You can also enjoy a cycle from the Sustrans National Cycle Route 66 into the city centre from here. For £335,000 you can buy a 4 bedroom semi-detached house in Osbaldwick and on the other end of the spectrum you can purchase a 2 bed end of terrace for £185,000.

Badger hill, York

Located on the outskirts of the city centre, Badger Hill is a great location for everyone as it is quiet but easily accessible.
