How important it is to change my locks?
Changing your locks once you have moved house is extremely important. Not only because you don’t know how many people have a copy of the key and therefore access to your house, but because it can actually invalidate your insurance. It might not be the first thing on your mind after all the stress of moving, but it’s one of the most important things you can do. Over half of movers don’t change their locks after they move, which is a shocking statistic especially as according to Yale, around 5% of home burglaries happen because the intruder has a key. So how confident are you that the previous owner handed all their copies back?!
